This pic of the Battery Park City library reminds me of the Amsterdam library. Want to go to there! http://nypl.tumblr.com/post/17375094420/battery...
Sounds like the new condos going up in Williamsburg aren't being built to last. http://www.capitalnewyork.com/article/politics/...
Frida causes the rules of subway non-interaction to break down. Today, a stranger took her pic, showed it to me, and offered me his seat.

There's been a mob of people outside Obscura all week. Makes it hard to get by carrying laundry but yay for local biz! http://instagr.am/p/cZEmB/
Got stuck on the L train this morning for 30 minutes due to brake problems. Thank goodness for iPhones.

I never noticed that building before. I like what's happening there.
N 8th b/w Driggs and Bedford
I totally fumbled trying to get a pic of @laurenleto running the marathon. But we saw her and cheered!

You don't often see snow falling on green leaves. http://flic.kr/p/azXu8V
Best 4sq special ever: "Check in, buy a beer, and your 2nd one is on us!" from Percy's Tavern. http://4sq.com/tHeUSy
A high school classmate I haven't seen in ... years is staying two nights with us. Love great reunions!
Midnight. Men on the street moving furniture and a woman yelling, "Get a job!"
I was going to meet a friend for brunch but she went to 6th St instead of N 6th St in Brooklyn. It's the 2nd day of her NY trip. Welcome to NY :-( http://www.thelovincupcafe.com/ looks really good aside from its confusing address.
I've been to 2 Mike Daisey shows and they are fantastic. Definitely want to see his "Steve Jobs" performance. http://sjot.it/pqmshk
When walking down city sidewalks in the rain, I think of Madame Giry's advice from Phantom: "Keep your hand at the level of your eyes!" I bet it works to keep umbrellas from poking your eye out as well as it does avoiding the phantom's punjab lasso.
Seamless(web) should know that it's raining and adjust the tip accordingly.
High of 67 tomorrow. Who's thrilled?!

New Yorkers take to the streets in kayaks when it rains and cross country skis when it snows. Where do people keep that stuff??? http://twitpic.com/6conq7 http://flic.kr/p/9bg8d1
Giant tree down in Tompkins Square Park. That park has the best trees. So long, tree. Thanks for all the shade. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6Rmi7GwOEjw/TlpepDElZ...
I slept through most of Irene. Now the sidewalks are full of people walking around. We didn't lose power, but I hear a big tree is down in the park.
Hmm, I wonder if my power will be pre-emptively shut off. Phones, ipads, laptops and spare batteries are already full charged! http://sjot.it/qbCPzd
"We're turning 25,000 corner trash baskets upside down to reduce risk of them blowing around. Please don't move them or any others. #Irene" http://twitter.com/#!/NYCMayorsOffice/status/10...
