I use my sushi cookbook exclusively for looking up how to make the rice seasoning. For future reference, starting with 1 cup dry rice:

2.5 tbsp rice vinegar
0.5 tbsp mirin
1.5 tbsp sugar
0.5 tsp salt (it says 1 tbsp, but that's crazy)

Accidentally dumped a bunch of whole peppercorns onto dinner while cooking instead of ground pepper (twice). I got most of it out, and called it "Peppercorn Pasta Surprise".
