All jots on food

I made 6 egg and cheese biscuits for my next few days' breakfast. HELL YEAH!
Damn duck fat fries. Gonna kill before the week's over.
Good pulled pork sandwich at Gordon Biersch (CLE)
Soda stream + 1 freshly squeezed grapefruit = yum
It won't satisfy purists (kind of by definition) but this is a pretty great vegetarian chili: http://sjot.it/yUPkR8
http://sjot.it/ym1jv3 McDonalds has taken the creepy pink goop stuff out of their burgers. Good step. What are they replacing it with though?

http://anatomyofthrift.com/ Great documentary (created by a former vegan!) Shows how butcher shops have disappeared from the landscape, and introduces us to a modern day butcher who is part of the resurgence. Watch a pig broken down, and cooked!
In a way, it's a little disturbing how many hits you get for 'chili dog casserole'.
If I could go back in time, I would do this cheese cake for our wedding. http://pinterest.com/pin/158470480607827607/
My favorite salad dressing is the carrot-ginger from Yaffa Cafe. Today I went in to see if I could purchase dressing to go. It was pretty awkward and clearly not a normal request, but they gave me a free pint! Tomorrow I'll try to make it myself.
This is what Nicaraguan people eat each day. For breakfast: eggs with rice and beans. Lunch: Rice n beans with cheese and plantains. Dinner: A piece of meat and rice and beans. It's delicious though.
About to go get some dimsum, it's been a year. :P cant wait.

What is it about pumpkin seeds? Once I start, I can't stop.
Not sure I'd call myself a fan of champurrado, seasonal Mexican hot chocolate with an extra ingredient: corn. Taste was ok, consistency was pretty unfamiliar: http://www.rollybrook.com/champurrado.htm Will stick with the non-corn variety for now.
Made this red curry paste (for a vegetable/tofu curry) because I could find lemongrass but not canned curry paste: http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2009/11/red-... So I failed at being lazy, but it was good.
Zabb Ellee in the East Village is the best NYC Thai food I've had outside of Queens. There's very little vegetarian on the menu but they understand veg and the stuff I did get was great. It is VERY SPICY but I think they can tone it down if you ask.
venturing out into the cold again, driven by a vision of a rye bread with cheese and a cup of cocoa.
